These knives are functional art
Norwegians know knives.
The Scandinavian country has a long history of knifecraft, due in part to its famously harsh climate. One Nordic proverb translates roughly to “A knifeless man is a lifeless man.”
That’s obviously not true today; it’s quite possible to survive a trip to Oslo without a fixed blade. But the country’s knifemaking tradition lives on in brands like Helle of Norway.
