Home Power Foods: Chocolate Chia Pudding

Written by: Alix Brossette

If you are anything like us at Shoulders of Giants you enjoy sweet treats, especially after a hard workout. What you put into your body directly effects what your body puts out, so indulging in junk food isn’t the greatest idea. This quick and easy pudding recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth while still delivering quality ingredients to your engine.

Serves 2

  • 1 ¼ cup unsweetened MALK brand almond milk OR Native Forest canned Coconut Milk
  • ¼ cup whole chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup OR 2-3 pkts Truvia (or sweetener of your choice)

Starting with quality ingredients is a must.

Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.

Time to work those whisking muscles!

  • In a large bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients until the clumps are gone. Place in fridge for 1-2 hours until thick or leave overnight.
  • When ready to eat, stir well and add more milk, if desired, to achieve more or less thickness.
  • This can be served chilled or briefly heated and served warm.

Keep this recipe in mind the next time you get a craving for something sweet. It is quick, easy and good for you!
